The vision for the City of God World Prayer Center is to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. .. and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In the name of Jesus. we will cast out demons; speak with new tongues; we will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. All the while teaching them to obey everything Jesus has commanded us. And surely Jesus will be with us always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20;Mark 16:15-18)
- We believe that Jesus Christ was the only Son of God. Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless and exemplary life, died for our sins, was buried, resurrected, and now reigns in heaven. 1 Timothy 3:16
- We believe in one God, revealed as father, son and holy spirit. We believe God is perfect, holy, and loves all of us. Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; john 1:1
- We believe the bible is the inspired word of God, revealing God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ and it is accurate and able to guide our lives. 2 Timothy 3:16
- We believe Jesus is the only one who can restore our relationship with God by His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the name by which we must be saved.. Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; romans 3:21-24, 5:11
- We believe that Jesus is our healer and that divine healing is available for every believer. James 5:14; 1 Peter 2:24
- We believe in water baptism as an outward sign of an inward belief. Matthew 28:19; acts 2:38; romans 6:4; 2 peter 3:9
- We believe in communion, or the lord’s supper, and the remembering of Jesus’ sacrifices for us all. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
- We believe God has given us the gift of his holy spirit so that we can live a holy and prosperous life. We believe God wants us to be filled with the power of the holy spirit, which enables us to use many spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues. Acts 1:8, 19:1-6
- We believe in the five-fold ministry. We believe there are 5 types of ministers in the body of Christ. They are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Ephesians 4:11-12
